Q0200:02:00Before

Where they started, and what kept going wrong

Starting point

The event production briefs pages were organized around a desktop menu with layers of subsections. Mobile visitors scrolled past paragraphs of copy before finding any way to get in touch.

The problem

With event production briefs, callers kept asking where to find things that were, technically, on the site. The information existed; the path to it did not survive a smaller screen.

Q0300:04:30Build

What we built

Answer: A compact mobile menu now groups an overview, production responsibilities and previous event formats and a clearly labeled inquiry button. Sections were reordered so the questions visitors ask first appear first.

15 working days, approval to handover

Answer: 15 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover.

  1. Day 0

    Content approved

The clock starts once the client approves the content the work is built from.

  2. Build

    What we built

Mobile navigation, Short page sections, Visible contact action, and more.

  3. Review

    Staff review

The fashion show production company's own team checks the work before it goes live.

  4. Day 15

    Handover

Handed over 15 working days after content approval.

Q0500:09:30After

What changed

Answer: When it comes to event production briefs, the journey from landing page to inquiry now works with a thumb. Staff answering questions on the move have a direct page to point people to.

Our event production briefs page finally behaves on the device people actually use. The menu-navigation phone calls have ended.

How long did this project take?

15 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover.

Which plan includes this work?

Everything this project used is included on every EventWebStudio plan (Load-In, Showtime, Encore), from $127 a month with the $697 build fee invoiced after launch.

Why is the client not named?

On purpose. The case study names the type of business (fashion show production company) and the region (Columbia, South Carolina) only, so no business name, web address or logo appears. The quote is Henry Farnham's own words, used with permission.
