Where they started, and what kept going wrong

Starting point

Event production briefs contact depended entirely on one form. Its failure mode was silence, and the fallback plan was hope.

The problem

Day to day with event production briefs, a visitor hitting an error had to rummage through the footer for another way to make contact. Staff, meanwhile, had no agreed check for whether test messages actually reached the intended inbox.

Q0300:04:30Build

What we built

Answer: Visitors now see a backup contact method, honest error wording and advice on what to include when chasing up. Regular delivery checks submit the genuine form, covering event format, venue and technical requirements, to verify the full path.

Q0400:07:00Schedule

20 working days, approval to handover

Answer: 20 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover.

    Content approved

The clock starts once the client approves the content the work is built from.

  2. Build

    What we built

Alternative contact method, Useful failure message, Form delivery check, and more.

  3. Review

    Staff review

The hybrid conference production team's own team checks the work before it goes live.

  4. Day 20

    Handover

Handed over 20 working days after content approval.

Q0500:09:30After

What changed

Answer: For event production briefs, failure has a plan and a test. Visitors keep a route, staff keep a check, and nobody claims the form is infallible.

The backup plan for event production briefs inquiries is visible on the page, not in someone's head. That is where it belongs.
