Why there is a build fee at all
Answer: the monthly plan runs the site, and the build fee pays for making it. Building a site properly is a week or more of work that happens once, so it is charged once rather than folded into every month forever.
Splitting the two keeps the monthly figure honest. You are never paying off a build inside a plan price, and the plan price you see on the pricing page is what runs every month after launch.

How paying works
Answer: three steps, all on your screen, and the last one is a receipt in your inbox.

Press the button for your plan
Pick the plan you are on below. The amount is the same on all three; the plan is recorded so the payment is matched to your account.

Pay on the secure Stripe page
Card details go to Stripe and never touch this site. You can add your business name for the receipt.
- Step 3
Receipt by email, straight away
Stripe emails a receipt and an invoice for your records, and you land on a confirmation page with the amount paid.

Is this a subscription?
No. The build fee is one payment of $697. Nothing recurring is set up on this page. Your monthly plan is billed separately and is not changed by paying the build fee.
Do I need to pay this?
Only if a build fee is due on your account. Plans started on or before December 31, 2026 have the build fee waived, so there is nothing to pay here. If you are unsure, email hello@eventwebstudio.com before paying and we will check your account.
Why is the amount the same on every plan?
The build fee pays for building the website itself: the onboarding call, the design, the code, the copy and the launch. That work is the same whichever plan you are on. What differs between Load-In, Showtime, Encore is what runs every month after launch, and that is priced in the monthly plan.
Is paying here safe?
Yes. The button opens a checkout page hosted by Stripe, the payment processor. Your card details are entered on Stripe and are never sent to or stored by this site.
Can the build fee be refunded?
All sales are final, and that includes the one-time build fee. The one exception is a duplicate or incorrect charge made by us, reported within 30 days, which is refunded to the original payment method. The full position is in the refund policy.
